Code-compliant lighting design with photometric simulation for lux uniformity, energy density (W/m²), glare control (UGR), and occupant comfort.

What is UGR and why does it matter?

Unified Glare Rating (UGR) quantifies discomfort glare from luminaires. ISO 8995 / EN 12464 specify UGR limits for different tasks (e.g., UGR ≤ 19 for office work). Exceeding these limits can cause occupant discomfort, reduced productivity, and potential liability. Our simulation calculates UGR for every zone.

Key Deliverables

Do you design emergency lighting?

Yes. Emergency lighting (egress, exit signage, standby) is simulated separately to verify 10-lux minimum at floor level along egress paths, as required by OBC Part 3 and NFPA 101. This is often a critical path item for occupancy permits.
