What safety training is legally required in Ontario?

At minimum: WHMIS 2015 (any worker exposed to hazardous products), Working at Heights (construction, MOL-approved), Supervisor Competency (OHSA s.25(2)(c)), and hazard-specific training per O.Reg. 213, 851, 632/05, etc. The specific requirements depend on your industry and hazards.

How often must safety training be refreshed?

WHMIS refresher is required as often as necessary to ensure competency (typically annual). Working at Heights every 3 years. LOTO and confined space annually. Supervisor competency should be refreshed every 2-3 years or when regulations change.
